Well, I see some fellow deviants asking for points, and I figure, I'll post it and see what happens. I'm new to this point thing, so hopefully I'll figure it out eventually. The goal is the minimum amount for a subscription thing.

I hope you all had a wonderful Memorial Day today, whether it was cooking a grill outside or giving your respect to veterans. :)

How to get all the savings at JoAnn's

Sat May 23, 2015, 1:25 PM

(I wrote this up at my site: How to get all the savings at JoAnns, but I am sharing this info here because we all need to save money. :))

When you’re at the cash register at JoAnn’s with all that delicious fabric, you want the best deals.

With the major help of a JoAnn’s expert perpetualbellygoddess, here’s a to-do list for you before you hit that cash register to maximize your Joann coupon collection starting with those with the least effort:

  • Have the Joann.com site up on your phone. Click on the “coupons” link. Free coupons for you with no sign-up needed!
  • Download the JoAnn’s app on your phone. There’s a coupon section right there!
  • Go get coupons from JoAnn’s competitors (Michaels-except on fabric, books or the like, Hancock, ACMoore, and Hobby Lobby). It can be physical flyers/electronic, whatever. They accept ONE of each competitor coupons per transaction. Hobby Lobby always has a 40% coupon!
  • Check out RetailMeNot.com for coupons on JoAnn’s and JoAnn’s competitors too! RetailMeNot counts as a competitor, so you can only do one of these!
  • Sign up for Joann’s to send you texts full of coupons. The first time you sign up you get a 20% off your total purchase coupon that day.
  • Sign up for their email listing, and come to the register pre-loaded with the coupons you need. I prefer to have the coupons loaded on the browser, since I use multiple coupons form multiple emails.
  • Sign up for their mail listing too. Get coupons and bring them!
  • If you’re a:
    •  Student, bring your student ID and ask the cashier to sign up for their student discount card. It gives you 10% off everything on non-discounted items, so it’s always good to have.
    • Teacher, bring in some ID (teacher is or pay stub) and get a card for 15% off your total purchase.
    • member of the military, or have family members who are or were, bring your ID or bring them with their ID with you to get 10% off your total purchase.
    • member of a quilting guild, you can also receive a card for 10% off with ID.

Here are some caveats from the expert to you:

  • Coupons don’t work on Sewing Machines, Irons, Patterns, or Cricket/cricket similar supplies. Sometimes total purchase coupons will work on them though! (Not always and very rarely. It depends on the sale/coupon but I’ve seen it happen a few times).
  • JoAnn’s does not stack coupons. So if you use a coupon for 40% off an item, you don’t get the 10% off as well. But if the item is already on sale you get the extra 10%.

Sometimes, it’s better that an item is not on sale you can discount it massively with coupons!

Happy shopping, and don’t forget to check out my collaborator and expert perpetualbellygoddess!

I have been organizing my gallery, wishing for a better way to move 70+ deviations into different folders.

I found that I inadvertently been putting everything on my featured folder. I started purging my featured folder to just hold my best stuff.

But then, what if you all just look on the first page when you hit on someone's Gallery?
  1. So, how do you check out a fellow deviant's gallery?
  2. Do you just browse the first page?
  3. Do you hit the All button to see everything from that deviant? Are you a folder-browser?

(Total side note: Gallery organizing is tedious. In prior iterations, there used to be a Manage Deviations that showed a table with checkmarks. That's all I want now. A simple table where I can check or un-check whether a deviation is in a folder or not.)

(Oh, and I want the Featured section to be just a folder to make it easier to manage.)

Battle-Scarred Sailor Jupiter by craftysorceress
Battle-Scarred Sailor Jupiter

Battle-scarred Sailor Jupiter time!

This outfit was mostly a practice in 4-way stretch fabric and makeup, specifically, slip-on makeup.

The wounds on my arms and legs were just slipped on at that moment. I applied most of the makeup 2 weeks before, so it's definitely a time saver!

It as part of a test on slipping on makeup. This is applicable to scars, wounds, tattoos and more! Will post a tutorial on it!

Thanks for the welcome and checking up! I already contributed some art and I'm awaiting a response. By any chance, do you have a time estimate on that?

It was so cool ganging out with you too! I plan to go to Kinyoobicon, and I dunno if Japan Expo is possible for me. But, after meeting you all, I was so motivated and re-inspired to go do an Attack on Titan cosplay. So thanks for the encouragement! :D

I haven't done much on here in a while too. I only do it in spurts, but I should do more. @_@ Are you on the tumblrs/CosComs? I am less active on there, but I am trying for months to get my art portfolio up, so if you have one of those, I totally wanna follow up with you on there too!
