Description
Game: Yu-Gi-Oh! Sugoruko no Soguroku (Japan Release), Yu-Gi-Oh!: Destiny Board Traveller
Character: Seto Kaiba
Background: Backgroundless Background
Time: 1 Week
Details:
I found that a YuGiOh game existed that involved these cute sprites. I wanted to use them as avatars and icons for AOL Instant Messenger, but nowadays, they can be used for most instant messengers.
Unfortunately, I only found 3 screenshots of it. To this day, it's still very hard to find such screenshots without going to Japanese google. But, being determined that I was, I removed, pixel by pixel, a clear image of as many characters as I can find. This involved days of work, extracting, cleaning up, fine-tuning and modifying the character to something recognizable, including turing a character under shadow into a lighted version. Then I rotated it on 4 directions (if I had an available back-facing character), set the size, and animated it. This was a very painful process of seeing which pixels were needed from the original screenshot, or whether the character needed changes, like adding pixels making the leg more clear.
I could have done this much easier by getting the game, but it was a Japan release only, so the screenshots were the only materials I had.

I can't believe you did an all-round shot of him. Nice work
